Moonfish’s ‘Tromluí Phinocchio’ returns after a highly-acclaimed run at the ABSOLUT Dublin Fringe. Catch Moonfish’s latest show this 3rd and 4th October, as part of the Galway Theatre Festival. After wowing audiences at the ABSOLUT Dublin Fringe, Moonfish are returning to their native Galway for the Galway Theatre Festival. Tromluí Phinocchio/ Pinocchio – A Nightmare will be the first performance in the newly opened An Taibhdhearc Theatre, and will give Galway audiences an opportunity to see the bi-lingual show that earned. Moonfish rave reviews at this years Dublin Fringe. Tromluí Phinocchio/ Pinocchio – a Nightmare is the dark and sometimes disturbing story of a young boy’s journey through a dangerous adult world. Pinocchio has the urge to rebel, to run away, to be impetuous, to break with convention, to do ‘whatever I want, whenever I want’. The result is a roller-coaster ride through a magical and often sinister world. Using live sound-effects, bare-bones set, dance, shadow puppetry and song. Moonfish create a production that pulses with a wild frenetic energy, teetering on the edge of nightmares. The show is performed in a mixture of Irish and English, and is accessible to anyone, whether they understand Irish or not.
