Sandra Coffey for Mna Mna Women In Music Showcase
Galway singer Sandra Coffey for Mna Mna Women In Music Showcase. The Crane Bar, Galway. Thursday November 15, 9pm. Galway singer Sandra Coffey will be debuting new material at the Mna Mna Women in Music Showcase night at the Crane Bar on Thursday November 15, starting at 9pm.
On the night, Sandra will sing songs from her forthcoming album, due for release next year as well as covers in her own style. She will be accompanied by Dublin born guitar virtuoso, Aidan Curran, living in Galway for some time now. He is one third of band Loose Rooster and is a blues man through and through. Musicians garner inspiration from many places. For Galway singer Sandra Coffey, her musical interests were sparked as a youngster during long summer days on the family farm in Athenry. Her and her siblings would listen to the charts and learn the latest dance moves as the farm work went on around them. Sandra believes that this early submergence in music has stood her well. In September, Sandra released her first single, Mascara Girl. She will follow up this with an album in the New Year. Sandra is looking forward to bringing the songs to many gigs and festivals next year. She was recently nominated for 3 awards by the Music Review Unsigned Music Awards for Best Female, Best Newcomer and Best Single (Mascara Girl).
